Early Learners is the first of our three preschool classrooms, taking children on from the toddler room at around two and a half. The day is structured, with time set aside for physical activities, quiet time, group and individual activities, meals, snacks and free play.
The room is divided into learning centers covering language arts, math, science, home living, sensory, large and small manipulatives, and arts and crafts. We call this an “active learning” environment, which means children engage in hands-on experiences with their teachers rather than being talked at.
With fourteen children to two teachers, there is room to work with children individually while they get used to a group setting.
A posted daily schedule, lesson plans and samples of your child’s work give you a complete idea of your child’s day.
